how i fold a fitted sheet

This topic has come up in a lot conversations, so I figured it was time to prove, once and for all, that I can fold a fitted sheet. Why my friends don't believe me when I tell them I can fold a fitted sheet is beyond me. Why we're even talking about folding fitted sheets is beyond me, too. The fact that this has come up numerous times in conversations between my friends and I shows that we need to find better and more interesting things to talk about, doesn't it? Are our lives that boring? Yes, they quite possibly are. But let's not focus on my level of lameness, ok?

So here it is... kind of. I'm not great at writing tutorials. Heck, I'm not great at reading tutorials, which is probably why I can't get my answering machine to work. No, that's a bad example because that tutorial is in German and we all know how great I am at comprehending the German language. Anyway, if you can't understand what I'm saying, then hopefully the pictures will help. If you still can't understand how I do it, then just keep balling up the sheets and throwing them in your closet or putting them on your bed directly from the dryer... it's probably easier to do it that way anyway!

Dear Ms. Stewart...this IS Martha's alternative site, isn't it?! ;) I have dutifully placed artichokes in my PB bowl, artfully arranged my shoes and jackets, and practiced folding my fitted sheets to perfection. My friends are concerned about OCD, but I assure them "NO WORRIES!" This is perfectly normal behavior when other (major) aspects of life border on the unmanageable. I first learned this from my good Mother who, when I was little and my good Father was gone on Navy business, taught me to fold Kleenex into perfect, individual, tiny shapes to fit perfectly into her purse. I graduated to wash cloths and towels and finally to flat sheets. I never got to the fitted sheet stage because they didn't exist back then. You are definitely more skilled than I, and your Grandmother would be proud.

Well, if you are lame for posting this, then I'm even lamer for actually watching the demonstration TWICE and being impressed! So, so sad... if our highschool/college selves could see us now! LOL.

who the hell has time to do all that? Wad the damn thing up in a ball and call it a day. Do you iron it too? LMAO

Ha! No, I don't iron it! I'm insulted. Ironing it is for total losers. I'm just a loser. ; ) In all honesty, it doesn't take that long to do at all once you figure it out. Saves a lot of space on the shelf too.

You don't have to fold sheets if you just use one set. Wash it then put it right back on the bed! BTW - I know people that have ironed sheets. But they are filthy rich and have a housekeeper that needs to justify her 40 hours per week!

Wow that's amazing. I can stop balling them up in my closet and fold them all nice like. They really should teach useful skills like this in school. In fact I really think they should have a life skills class in schools. You know teaching people organization and how not to be a complete idiot. I really think that it should include skills like how to be courteous to others and how to manage finances. Anywho, you impressed me.
